After spring break ended and I started registering my kids for various activities this summer it hit me that the school year is almost over. Its all downhill from here and it wont be long at all before I have a middle schooler at home. Ive got an orientation meeting this month and hes going to be visiting the school soon. Im not ready yet for the changes it will be bring. There will be changes to our routine and changes to his extracurriculars, but most of all his school work load is going to increase and hes going to need the right tools to keep up with everything.
One way we can be prepare is by upgrading some of the technology at our house. Im not ready for him to have his own computer, but by making sure theres a machine that can be at his ready will be a start. A Google Pixelbook, the newest Chromebook, would make a great option for the whole family. Its a high performance laptop that has Google assistant built in. So if youre connected to the internet you can get the help you need from your assistant by voice, the dedicated key or using the Pixelbook pen.
The Pixelbook pen is sold separately and is a smart and responsive stylus that has little lag. I love the sleek and versatile design of the Pixelbook. At just 10.3mm its Googles thinnest laptop ever. Its also lightweight which makes it the ideal laptop for families on the go. I think it would become my must-have travel accessory especially since the battery gives you up to 10 hours of use on a single charge.
